Government raises minimum wage in Shenzhen

Guangdong’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security has raised the minimum wage for Shenzhen. It was increased by 15%. Shenzhen has now one of the highest minimum wages in all of China, surpassing even Beijing. Only Shanghai has a higher minimum wage.

According to the Ministry, figures of minimum wage do not include overtime pay, welfare, benefits or allowance for special circumstances such as working outdoors in high temperatures.
